Fixture
Fixtures are intermediate elements for placing, fixing and supporting parts in the production process. Fixtures are an important part of automation-based production, quality control and assembly lines.
They ensure that the part to be treated is placed in its defined position relative to the cutting edge, measuring instrument or other part. The fact that this position is not variable is important for the repeatability of the subsequent process.
Fixtures are designed for a particular piece to be treated, so each fixture is unique.
Fixture design; layout design includes fastener-bottom parts design and body design stages.
After the fixture conceptual design is completed, the detail fixture design is started. Fixture body, spacers and fasteners to be used to fix the product are designed. At the last stage, the work of the fixture is verified in computer environment and production begins. Trial production is carried out after the production and assembly of the parts. The fixture is approved after the fixture is running and the operation that is required to be performed on the product is checked.
